HarborOne Mortgage has recently become aware of a scam that is being perpetrated partially in our name and we don’t want anyone to fall victim to it. If you have you received a USPS package containing a check or money order along with a letter for a money making opportunity that appears to be sent from HarborOne Mortgage you could be the recipient of a scam. Scammers will often solicit potential victims using a check or money order sent to your home. They will request you deposit the funds and return a certain amount of money back. Before you know it your bank will declare the check or money order as counterfeit and you may be on the hook for any money withdrawn from your account or wired to scammers.
HarborOne Mortgage does not employ any third-party services to solicit money making opportunities. If you have received an unexpected USPS package that appears to be from us you can call 800-877-8686 and ask to speak to someone in our Risk Department.
The closing like everything else in this process was efficient, easy, and painless.
It’s seems like only yesterday we were sitting in the branch to get started on an equity line without a clue as to what we really needed or wanted, when you stepped in and got us pointed us in the right direction. Not only did you lay out the available options, but you put the relevant parts of our financial picture together which helped us determine what made the most sense.
This transaction was a huge milestone for us in many regards. In the end we got a great rate, eliminated a significant amount of more costly debt, significantly reduced our monthly expenditures, and put cash in the bank that will help us complete ongoing improvement projects. I imagine this will improve our credit reports as we have much fewer open accounts as evidenced by the thinned down monthly payables folder. I’m sure there are other aspects we have yet to consider that will improve the quality of life for this family.
Thanks, so much to you especially, and to your team for helping us get this done.
